The story behind the project
Bringing the ideas to life
Looking at the music streaming landscape, we saw an opportunity to create something different - an app that lets listeners truly customize what they hear.
The First Sketch
While the idea and concepts go way back, the first rough sketches and a framework of an app was developed by Edgar Wideman, the co-founder of LifeSong in the fall of 2021. Lack of funding and the obvious need for more help stalled the project where it sat for a few years.
Enter Terry Kuepfer
During a conversation about music apps, Terry mentioned he had similar ideas about a music platform. After a few meetings discussing the concept, we decided to team up and build LifeSong together, combining our different skills and experiences.
Going Full-Time
Edgar took the leap and left his job to work on LifeSong full-time. With more hours in the day to focus on development, the project started moving from concept to reality. The core systems began taking shape.
Launch Plans
Our goal is to launch LifeSong in 2025. The development is on track, and we're fine-tuning everything to make sure users get the control over their music that we've envisioned.
